Groab
Groab is a tool for bookmark management. It is very simple. It
reads the bookmarks of one browser and converts them into the
bookmarks for another browser (or for the same, if you like). It
is written in Java.
Caution: Make backups of your bookmark files before
using the tool! There is no warranty! This is experimental
software. You have to know what you are doing when you are using
it!
It now supports Mozilla, Konqueror and IE.
Besides, groab is an artificial word that yields only approx. 50
fuzzy hits on Google (July '02), and is therefore well suited as
a project name.
There are some open issues:
- The mini-icons are not preserved
- Bookmark collections are not automatically found and
updated for all configurations. This needs manual input.
- A GUI is lacking
